White or gray crystalline powder of orthorhombic or equiaxed crystal systems. It turns yellow when heated and turns white or gray again when cooled. Density5.2g/cm ³, melting point656ºC,Boiling Point 1550ºC (sublimation), stable orthorhombic crystal system below 557ºC, stable equiaxed crystal system above 557ºC. It is an amphoteric oxide. It is reduced to metallic antimony by solid carbon or gases such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen at low temperatures.
